Install Apps From Another Country’s iTunes Store

Have you ever wanted to install an App from the iTunes store but you couldn’t because it was available in your country? If so, this tip is for you. There are many good apps on the store that are not available for the use of international users.  For example, if you live outside United States, you will not be able to install Apple iBook apps on your iPhone or iPad. Also, you cannot download Google Earth, as these apps are only made available to the iTunes store in US. Both of these are free apps, but still, it is sad that you cannot install and download these apps from iTunes as they are linked to a country other than yours. To add insult to injury, you will probably see these apps in your store, but won’t be able to download them, due to the reasons mentioned above.

Install Apps from Another Country’s iTunes Store:

Luckily, there is a trick if you’d like to download and install any app from another country’s iTunes store. Just follow these steps below.

  • Start the iTunes App, and if you are logged in, log out of your iTunes account.
  • Scroll Down and just click Change country. “Select United States”.
  • Disclaimer: In some countries, changing the country in the iTunes store is not allowed. So, make sure it is allowed in your country before proceeding.
  • Now simply search for the app you are looking to install from that country’s iTunes store.
  • When you try to install it, iTunes will prompt you to sign in with your AOL, Mobile Me or Apple ID. Next, click the “Create new account” button and accept the terms and conditions.
  • Obviously use your head and enter an email that is not linked to your Apple account.
  • Under payment options choose none, and for address you can give any dummy address. You will then receive a confirmation email.
  • Now, click the link in the email and BAM, you’re done. So, in a nutshell, you have to create a new account with that country’s iTunes account and you can then simply download any app and install it on your iDevice.

Also, we want to point out that this trick can only be used to install free apps from the iTunes store. The reason is that paid apps require that you have a US billing address.
