Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset Review

Over the holidays, I had the chance to get my hands on a Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset. I had the chance to give it a bit of a test run and wanted to share my experience with it.

Performance and Comfort

Let’s get right to it! I tested the Nubwo N7 in a number of different games and game types. I tested it while playing CS:GO, Destiny 2, Escape from Tarkov, and even tried a few games of Starcraft 2. To be honest, I didn’t expect much from these headphones due to the price. However, they surprised me. In all of the games I played, they performed very well. In FPS games, I had no trouble hearing footsteps when someone was trying to sneak up on me. The sound effects were very immersive as well. The noise cancelling on these also did a great job limiting outside sounds. read more

Logitech G35 Headset Test and Review

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the G35 Gaming Headset from Logitech
. As a gamer and an avid music listener, I was really excited to give this headset a test run. Currently, you can find this headset for a bit over $100 at Amazon or Newegg.

G35 Gaming Test

So, the first thing I did was give this the in-game test. I tried this headset out in Starcraft II, Battlefield 3, COD Black Ops 2, and Counter-Strike Global Offensive. My first impression is that these headphones sounded great. The surround sound for these headphones really made you feel immersed in the experience. Some games sounded better than others. However, I think this comes down to the how well the game developers created the sound.

In a few of the games, like CS:GO and BF3, in which sounds can be used to give an advantage such as the enemies location, I found that this headset gave me an edge over many of the other players.

G35 Comfort and Durability Test

Another great aspect of the G35 is that these headphones are very comfortable, even after many hours of gaming. I tested this headset during a 6-hour gaming marathon and at the end of this, they were just starting to bother me a little bit. I wear glasses, so in the past many headsets will start to bother me after an hour or two. To go along with the comfort, these headphones also do a great job removing external noises. After I put these headphones on, I had trouble hearing someone who was only a few feet away. That makes this headset a great purchase for anyone who might have to deal with a noisy environment.

I also found these headphones to be very durable. Since having these headphones, I have dropped them on a hard floor or dropped something on them quite a few times. Each time, I am able to pick these headphones right back up and they still work perfectly.

Microphone

The microphone on this headset is one of the best I have used that is part of a headset. It sounds great in programs like Ventrilo and Teamspeak and also sounds very clear when using in-game chat. I also had the chance to test this on Skype and it was very clear during this test as well. I am sure you can find better stand-alone mics, however, this mic does the job well.

Music

As a gaming headset, I was pretty curious how these headphones would stack up against other headphones when it comes to music. The answer is that they stacked up pretty well. Overall, I was pretty happy with the quality. I will say that this is a gaming headset first and music/video headset second. Generally speaking, these headphones crushed most stand-alone set of headphones that was of medium or poor quality. However, I had the chance to compare these to a higher end set of Bose QuietComfort headphones and the Bose sounded noticeably better when listening to music or video.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the G35 is one of the best gaming headsets I have had the chance to try, and I have tried quite a few. I would highly recommend these to anyone who is an avid gamer and has the budget to afford these.
