6 Apps To Help you Find the Cheapest Gas

With gas prices on the rise, it’s more important than ever to spend wisely. Fortunately, there are plenty of apps to help you save money on gas. Depending on what phone you use, different apps are great for different reasons.

Something For Everyone

There are apps that help you find the cheapest gas prices and even apps that track mileage and maintenance for extra savings. And it doesn’t matter what smart phone you use. With apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone available, there’s something out there for everyone.

1.  GasBuddy

GasBuddy is a popular app that helps users across the United States and Canada find the cheapest gas prices. As a free app, it’s a perfect choice for those who don’t want to pay to save. GasBuddy even rewards its users even more by offering a weekly giveaway of a $250 gift card. All you have to do is what you were doing anyway—reporting gas prices!

2. SmartFuel

If you’re looking for perhaps more reliable information, though, SmartFuel could be a better fit. This app claims that it offers the most accurate information as it uses databases of gas prices instead of user reports. You get the first month of use for free, but you have to pay $2.99 for this app.

3. Gas Cubby

This app provides a slew of cost-cutting possibilities. Like the other apps out there, Gas Cubby provides statistics for gas prices as well as service expenses. The ability to track mileage and maintenance for your car adds an extra dimension of savings. If you don’t mind ads, you can opt for the free version; the version without ads is $2.99.

4. Cheap Gas!

For an user-friendly app, Cheap Gas! is ideal. This app gives you a list of all gas stations, sorted in order of lowest to highest gas price. While it doesn’t show you directions for how to get to your chosen station, it opens a map that shows how close your current location is to the gas station. At $0.99, it’s a bit cheaper than some of the other options.

5. YP Yellow Pages & Gas Prices

This app provides an integrated experience for all your gas finding needs. YP Yellow Pages & Gas Prices works together with the map features of the Yellow Pages. In one spot, you’ll find gas prices, local business, and reviews to help you decide. Plus it’s free, so you can’t go wrong with all these features.

6. Fuel Finder

According to Fuel Finder, this app could save you more than $300 each year on gas. It puts together information from millions of users to get you where you need to go. Still, it’s only available for iOS, and it’s $2.99.

Stop overpaying for gas and driving around until you find the lowest price. There are alternative gas-saving options, such as using public transportation and car sharing, but both are easier said than done. Instead, download one of these apps to help you save money and make life on the road easier.
