5 Awesome Android Apps

Not too long ago, I finally ditched my Blackberry for an Android. I decided to go with the Motorola Razr. I don’t want to get too far off-topic, but the Razr was a huge improvement over my old Blackberry. The only thing I liked better about the Blackberry was its long battery life. However, I like everything else about the Razr better. One of the reasons I really like my Android is the apps. With the potential assistance from Android App Development Services, they have become very efficient and easy to use. Here are a few of my favorites.

Skype

If you use Skype often, this app is a really convenient way to use Skype from your Android. If you know about Skype, then there isn’t too much to say about this app. It works well, its free, and has pretty much all of the same functionality as the PC version of Skype.

MLB At Bat

This app is the best app of any of the major sports. This app gives you the obvious stuff like scores, standings, news, and highlights. However, the paid version allows you to listen to any game through the app. If you are a big MLB fan, this is app is a must have. Also, if you sign-up for the full MLB package, you can watch any out of market MLB game from this app in HD quality.

Google Maps (built-in)

The Google Maps App should be built-in to your Android phone automatically. However, this app is so good that it is worth talking about. There are so many things to like about this app. It has very detailed and accurate maps. It can provide voice turn-by-turn directions. It can get you where you need to go via public transportation. With this app, you will never be lost again.

Dropbox

Dropbox is a popular place to store files that you will need away from you PC. Dropbox for Android allows you to access these files from your Android smartphone. This app is simple, but convenient.

Google Drive (old Google Docs)

Google Drive is essentially Google’s free version of office. Google Drive for Android allows you to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Google Drive stores these files online, so after you have a file on Google drive, you can access it from your PC, your Android, or even another public computer.
